Welcome
White Oak Concerts is a Houston-based professional music ensemble formed by musicians Steven McMillan, violinist, and Meryl Ettelson, pianist. The two perform within multiple formats using assisting artists as required.
White Oak Concerts follows an original artistic journey through the great chamber music repertoire. Programs are created to provide the players and listeners with a wide and interesting spectrum of textures, colors, and moods.

White Oak Concerts provides the highest standards of ensemble playing through careful preparation and frequent rehearsal. Ensembles perform at venues all over Texas and neighboring states. A program by White Oak Concerts lasts for about an hour and a half, contains approximately 70 minutes of music, and is often accompanied by the wry introductory comments of their raconteur violinist.
Several composers have written for the group: David Bernsteinās trio arrangement of Estrellita, was premiered in 2008. On January 21st his new trio Winter Sunlight and Shadow will be premiered at the Blaffer Gallery, sponsored by the Foundation for Modern Music. Also featured will be a new work written for White Oak Concerts by Mary Carol Warwick.
White Oak Concerts is available for concertos, recitals, master classes, and other events.
